About Us

Women in Computer Science Club is a club that strives to empower young women that have interest in the field of computer science. Through this club, we hope to provide a comforting, enjoyable environment for Green Hope high school students to expand their knowledge in Computer Science. The computer science field is a field that is dominated primarily by men. In fact, approximately 78.8% of computer science majors are men! Thus, through this club, we place a significant emphasis on empowering women in our school and community to pursue their passion of computer science and feel confident + secure doing so. Our club aims to unite those who have interest in computer science, and we focus on empowering this club as a whole and empowering each individual as well!
